My piece for the letter "P" for AlphaBooks Tumblr. Pogo is still one of the best comic strips ever. Not only was Walt Kelly a brilliant cartoonist, but he was political long before strips like Doonesbury. Pogo also had a really cool stop motion film done based on it that is worth seeing if you can find a copy.
